Who much and intensively works with Civil 3D, will have certainly been annoyed sometimes about the many „Mouse clicks”.
If you simply want to change the style of a certain DGM this is only possible by changing the preferences of that DGM. This also applies to all other C3D objects.
For large projects with many C3D objects that can sometimes be very annoying. Desirable would be a function within the context menu ( “right-click menu“), if the styles would be offered there, in order to quickly switch between the styles.
This we now have achieved with our new Help Tool „C3D Styles“. I don’t want to withheld the Beta Preview for you, which is a real relief for daily use.
How does the new Help Tool work?
Through an user interface 3 standard styles can be defined. These are then available in the context menu for you to choose. Every time one / or more objects were selected only those styles are put available that belong to those specific objects.
The default styles are stored in a configuration file, so the styles are also available in drawings where these are not available yet.
If this is the case, this will be displayed in the user interface and the styles can simply be imported with a double click, thus the default styles are available in each drawing.
In the final version of this Help tool the following C3D styles are supported:
- Alignment Styles
- Alignment Labelling Styles
But enough talk, have a look at the video and rejoice yourself over the final version of the „C3D Styles“ from our Help tool series.
